First edition, first printing. Hardback, bound in the original red cloth with gilt titling to spine and upper board. 19 × 12.5cm, 263pp. The author and actor's first book. A loosely autobiographical novel which follows a young, charming Scot's adventures, including entering the film industry. Condition: Good condition. There is light fading to the spine and some blotchy fading to the rear board. The contents remains well-bound. The pages clean bar some light spotted foxing to the prelims and page edges. It has tears / pieces missing from all four corners, the spine ends and also the centre of the spine and back panel edge. It remains, however, bright and unfaded. The book is Very Good overall with straight spine, sharp corners and firm spine ends. However there is sunning to the top of the spine and also a sun spot in the middle.
