Elaborate illustrative peacock design to front board in gilt on full-vellum binding. Spine with similarly bright decorations and gilt leather title-plate, minutely chipped to one edge. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Illuminated throughout in signature style, collated complete. Previous owner bookplate to reverse of front free decorated endpaper (E.M.Mountain). A few minor marks to rear board, but a very clean specimen overall. A large volume at 34.5cm by 26.4cm by 3.4cm. Seller Inventory # VIRARE052
