Bound in navy cloth with titles and decorations stamped in gilt. Dated 1915 on the title page, with no additional printings, the same year as the Martin Secker (London) edition. 208 pages. Top edge gilt; the others deckled. With the William Nicholson facsimile portrait of Kipling as the frontispiece, with the tissue guard intact. Front cover creased, although this is only noticeable on the pastedown, which also carries a former owner's name. The volume is otherwise unmarked. The cloth shows only very light edgewear. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon in the Mitchell Kennerley edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
