This book has the "A" on the bottom inside corner of last page indicating that it is the first appearance of this Golden Book edition of this story. This book is profusely illustrated with the classic 50's cartoon characters. Little Golden books are known for illustrated heavy cardboard covers with a staple binding. The interior pages have NO writing or creases. Pages are browning and a couple of pages, have tiny closed tears at bottom edge of page. All pages firmly attached - NO loose or lost pages. This is NOT an ex-lib NOR is it a remainder. Illustrated covers show soiling & rubbing on back cover. Illustration on cardboard covers is colorful. Boards are well attached and NOT heavily creased or broken. Book size is approximately 6.75"W by 8"L. See pictures. Rare to find a 65+ year old children's book that is in such good condition.
