1st Edition, hardcover in dark red cloth-covered boards. Spine ends bumped and has a slight forward lean, tips show color loss but are still sharp. Faded quarter-round spot at the foot of spine. 136pp text. B/W illustrated frontispiece and 9 other full page illustrations throughout the text. Mapped end papers, tidy gift dedication on 2nd endppr. No tears or major soil in the 136pp text. Untrimmed text is of heavy cardstock type leaves. Facsimile dj is unclipped with price present, shows small chips at tips, one small soil spot on cream rear panel, but still displays very well in new mylar. Miss Eleanor Helme's books are being recognized more and more enthusiastically as classics of their kind, headed so far, in the estimation of many of her admirers, by the delightful "Mayfly."
