Rural Development in the Caribbean

This book approaches the subject of rural development by way of both the underlying structural factors which can explain the prevailing patters of underdevelopment and the strategies which should be adopted to overcome underdevelopment. This it is designed to address both theoretical and practical policy issues in the rapidly expanding subject area of 'rural development' and to interest and challenge students (in the widest sense) on the one hand, and practitioners on the other.
