First edition (copyright page list goes through Ruth Fielding Treasure Hunting). One of three jacket designs we've seen for this series, priority unclear. Jacket edges rubbed with small chips and small tears to edges, minor loss to spine base of jacket, rear jacket panel soiled. Page ridges lightly foxed, ink name and address on front paste-down endpaper. 1923 Hard Cover. 210 pp. 2 pages of publisher ads follow text. "The Ruth Fielding books were an early Stratemeyer Syndicate series, published between 1913 and 1934 under the pseudonym Alice B. Emerson. Ruth Fielding begins the series as an orphan who comes to live with her miserly uncle and, in later titles, goes from boarding school to college and on into adulthood. Unusually for a main character in a Stratemeyer Syndicate series, Ruth Fielding marries.[1]"--Wikipedia. Seller Inventory # 2314025
