Item description from seller

A Selection of New Writing under the Imprint of Nine Irish Publishers ***Near fine in glossy card covers, which are just slightly rubbed and creased at the edges. The covers are generally clean, with just some light marks and foxing spots, mainly on the back cover and inner flaps. No reading creases to the spine. Spine tight. No tears. Interior pages clean - just a little light foxing to the endpapers. No inscriptions or annotations. No creases or tears. Each of the publisher's works is separated by a different colour sheet of thin card. ***220mm x 145mm. Unpaginated. ***Contributors: John Montague, Caitlin Bean Ui Thallamhain, T.Crofton Croker, Sigerson Clifford, Conleith Ellis, J. F. Lydon, Charles McCarthy, Geoffrey Hand, Brighid Ni Loingsigh, Breandan Breathnach, Joseph Duffy, Sr. Celine Mangan, Breandan O'Doibhlin, ***Nine individual publisher's are represented, comprising the work of 14 different authors. Some of the works are illustrated. ***'This unique anthology of contemporary Irish writing--the bulk of it here published for the first time--is representative of the work of nine members of CLE/The Irish Book Publishers' Association which, since its formal inception in 1970, has already made substantial progress in revitalising the industry as a vehicle worthy of Ireland's fertile literary talent. (Quote taken from the Foreword) ***An unusual publication, consisting of nine separate publisher's works bound together in one volume as a sample of their work. Uncommon, especially in the UK. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.
