The spotless, red, gilt-lettered spine harmonizes well with the very fine rd boards (one of whose corner tips reluctantly displays a tiny bruise. The pages are as clean as the red & white dust-jacket is pristine. A FINE COPY. Clive Barker was a regular on the book-signing circuit when he still lived in the UK, from Rog Peyton's Andromeda bookshop in Birmingham to Forbidden Planet in London. He was also a regular at the Caf� Muenchen in London's West End, where everybody who was anybody sooner or later had a book launched or participated in a mass-signing session. -----------------------------------------------Clive Barker (born 5 October 1952) is an English writer, film director, and visual artist. Barker came to prominence in the mid-1980s with a series of short stories, the Books of Blood, which established him as a leading horror writer. He has since written many novels and other works, and his fiction has been adapted into films, notably the Hellraiser and Candyman series. He was also the executive producer of the film Gods and Monsters. Barker's paintings and illustrations have been featured in galleries in the United States as well as within his own books.
