Item description from seller

First Edition. Hardback. Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 211. Original publisher's red cloth, lettered gilt on spine. Publisher's file copy from the archive at Gollancz with their neat stamp 'Archive Copy' on the title page. Including the original wraparound band which states, "One of the funniest books I've read for ages. like a sort of innocent Peyton Place - P. G. Wodehouse." Very good indeed in very good dust jacket, with some edgewear and a slight nick at the top front edge.
