Book condition - near Very Good ; contents clean, no foxing, no offsetting, faint ink inscription ("Coode " ? )and faint pencil inscription ("Peter Coode ") on the front flyleaf, inner hinges intact and binding firm ; publisher's dark blue cloth with gilt title on the spine and front ; corners with some rubbing and a little bent, boards' edges slightly rubbed with small patches of colour loss, back clean with a few faint marks, back hinge a little rubbed but sound, spine complete with ends creased but not split, spine colour a trifle faded and with a vertical line of colour loss in the lower two thirds, spine gilt title complete and clear, front hinge slightly rubbed but still very sound, front with a few small marks in the lower half, front gilt complete and bright.
