Black cloth with white spine lettering, sp. ends rubbed, flapping lower spine now re-fixed but thin cloth split down fr. joint remains and horizontal split at top faintly visible. xi + 115, correction slip tipped in to gutter p. 73; end-papers tanned and light marginal edge-tanning throughout, fr. end-paper has round impressed ex-lib. stamp of Derek Gair Gibson (1935-2021, eminent pioneering British cardiologist) above penciled date 16.5.84, main problem is frequent and occ. extensive pencil underling, erasable with patience, unlikely this is by Gibson. A scarce and important work. The term 'shell-shock' itself was coined by C.S. Myers who later regretted it. 12.5 cm x 19 cm. Seller Inventory # 013053
