Reviews
Copyright 1994 Reed Business Information, Inc.
Though Roth has a gap of 60 years between his first novel, Call It Sleep (Classic Returns, LJ 10/15/91), and his recent Mercy of a Rude Stream (LJ 1/94), he was not idle. This 1987 volume collects 31 pieces that originally appeared in various publications from the 1930s through the 1980s. Included are stories, essays, and memoirs.
