A fine photographic record of Contra Costa County just after the turn of the twentieth century. Pictures of prominent citizens, residences, commercial businesses and industrial sites. The lead article, "Contra Costa County: a Resume of its Present Condition," promotes farm land for the settler and the county's proximity to the growing cites of the Bay Area. Rocq (1970) 1611. Some spotting to wrappers, mostly rear wrapper, some wear along overlapping fore-edge of front wrapper, upper fore-edge of text block bumped, a very good copy. (#167389).
