Dark cloth. xvi+345+xiv (list of Reports), 4 unf.tables; University of Liverpool's sm.embossed stamps on t.p.& end main text, otherwise no internal lib.labels or markings, an 'Eyre and Spottiswoode' stamp bottom t.p., possibly as they were acting as distributors. Internally clean, tight & unmarked, some splitting towards top of fr. gutter between endpaper & fly - the fr. endpaper appears to have been pasted to the pastedown. Covers sl.rubbed in places and at top.sp., but clean and generally sound, 'University of Liverpool' in gilt bottom sp. - appears to be a library binding. As title indicates this reviews current educational practise in British controlled Africa and Indian Ocean, including, as title continues, 'the training of native races'.
