CONTENTS DESCRIPTON: Nichols served under General William Sherman as his aide-de-camp. Here he used his daily journal to recount the features and events of the campaigns of Georgia and the Carolinas . Nichols, after the way, is best known for the creation of the legend of Wild Bill Hickok.
