Cream pictorial glazed paper wrappers printed in brown with chipping to the glazed paper along spine, a short split at head of spine, and minute touches of wear to the extremities for what is a nice copy of the book; front wrapper with variant copyright date of 1865; publisher's advertisement on back wrapper. A single leaf folded accordion-style to make a [12] pp. panorama. This is an English-language version told in verse, of the German folk-tale "Hans im Gluck" which was collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm; illustrated with twelve beautiful three-quarter page chromolithographs above chromolithographed text; internally the book is fine. The condition of the book is VERY GOOD. RARE.
