Stuart Alexander was founded in 1884 by the French entrepreneur Fernand Levy who began by taking orders for his import business. In 1890 he sold the business to Charles Stuart Alexander for 100 pounds.

Store description

We are a large general bookshop with a wide-ranging stock. Because of our location there is an emphasis on Australian and Pacific material but we have much else. We are open 10am to 5pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays each week. Closed on Public Holidays. Enquiries are always welcome.
