Sagittarius Rising

Lewis, Cecil [Cecil Arthur Lewis MC (29 March 1898 - 27 January 1997) was a British fighter pilot who flew in World War I. He went on to co-found the British Broadcasting Company and enjoy a long career as a writer, notably of this aviation classic 'Sagittarius Rising' which was the inspiration for the film 'Aces High'].

Second impression hard back binding in publisher's original grey marl cloth covers, navy blue title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 8'' x 6''. Contains [viii] 332 printed pages of text. Fox spotting to the closed text block edges. Very Good condition book in Good condition dust wrapper with 10 mm piece of paper missing across the top of the spine, age darkening of the paper to the spine and edges, not price clipped 8/6, identical to the first edition dust wrapper with 'Master Mariner' review to the rear panel. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection, it does not adhere to the book or to the dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. ROYAL AIR FORCE (RAF).
