I, Said the Fly

Solid copy of an uncommon title in very uncommon dust jacket. Published during the later stages of World War II and subject to wartime paper rationing. Striking dust jacket design with dramatic cover painting of a massive fly hovering in a web and looming over a black spider. Dust jacket quite well preserved given the low quality of the paper. There are chips at the crown and heel of the spine, as well as a shallow 1/2" wide chip on the top edge of the front cover and a small chip near the spine on the bottom edge. Original $2.00 price is present on the front flap. Red cloth covers of the book have light wear and binding is tight. The book has stains on the endpapers where it appears that newspaper articles or similiar matter had been taped and where also some kind of oily substance had been applied at top. Oily stains at top bled onto several pages at front and back of book.
