Two bookplates on the front pastedown: John Ashley Warre (1781-1860) and Carol Whibley (unknown). Remnants of gilt title and ornaments on spine. Head darkened. Fore edge and foot lightly foxed. Pages clean and bright. Binding strong and square. Spine and boards worn, frayed, rubbed, bumped, and cracked along the hinges. While the binding is definitely worm, the book is still easily readable with minor care taken to support the hinges. The poems contained are well preserved and legible. Condition as described. .…
