About this Item

Near fine hardcover copies of first edition of this important foundational title, in very good dust jackets, now protected by removable plastic sleeves. From the personal library of Allen Newell (1927-1992), late professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, with a discreet name label on the free front end paper of each volume. Slight shelf wear, minor chipping to edges of dustjackets (see photos). Pages lightly age toned, but otherwise internally crisp and clean, no highlightings, markings or annotations to text. A nice association set of both volumes, with uncommon dustjackets in very good condition. Combined book weight: 1.9 kg (4.2 lbs), extra postage will be required.
