It is arranged in nineteen chapters, covering topics including 'credulity in occult research', 'numerology and prophecy', 'secrecy in occult fraternities', 'psychic pathologies', 'authority and obedience in occultism', and 'secrecy in occult fraternities'.Dion Fortune was the co-founder of the Fraternity of the Inner Light, an occult organisation that promoted philosophies which she claimed had been taught to her by spiritual entities known as the 'Ascended Masters'. She is recognised as one of the most significant occultists and ceremonial magicians of the early twentieth century.A very scarce guide to the occult in the twentieth century.
