Item description from seller

The September 30, 1944 issue of the Saturday Evening Post. Articles include First Wave, Touchdown by George Sessions Perry (Describing the D-Day invasion of Southern France) and How the Scoundrel Lied by J Frank Dobie (about how he was led down the garden path about the ease of lecturing on American history at Cambridge University). Cover art by John Falter (Moving Day). Light wear to the edges. Missing pages 55 - 58 - a two page Goodyear ad (56/57) and part of a Clarence Budington Kelland serial installment (55 & 58). The Perry & Dobie articles are not affected. A flawed but acceptable copy with articles by two prominent writers plus vintage WW II related stories, articles and ads.
