Very good, first edition book in good dust jacket. Frontispiece is photo of Lawrence, tissue is intact. Red, grainy, cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and graphics on spine. Several light and dark stains on front and back board panels. Spine is sunned, more so at head and tail. Upper external page edges are tinted but also fade. Side and lower external page edges are age-darkened and showing the beginning of foxing. Edges at head and tail of board spine are rolled; head of spine has tiny tears. Slight separation on inside front gutter, approx. 1 1/2". Internal text pages are age-toned, else text is clean. text block is snug. Dust jacket is soiled and sunned overall, more so at extremities and heavily on spine. Jacket spine would be separated from front and back panels except for tape repairs on the reverse side. Significant loss at head and tail of jacket spine, upper edges and fore-edge corners. Open tears along front and back fore-edge folds. Inside front flap has 2 3/4" by 1 1/2" clip.
