Offering an original copy of this seminal work of Black political fiction and a cult-classic thriller, "The School on 103rd Street," by forensic psychiatrist Roland S. Jefferson, M.D. New York: Vantage Press, 1976, first edition. Black textured paper over hardcover boards, original yellow pictorial dust jacket, pp. 203. In this thriller, the plot is set in motion when two terrified young boys approach Dr. Carter after witnessing the brutal murder of their friend. Dr. Carter launches his own investigation and uncovers a massive, apocalyptic government conspiracy designed to systematically monitor and suppress residents in riot-torn inner cities. Overall condition is Good. Binding is square and secure. The black paper covering over the cover boards has started to crack along the hinge; underlying book board remains fully intact and not broken, but the outer paper veneer shows a cosmetic split. Dust jacket is intact with small abrasions to the spine and foxing on the back. There is foxing to the endpapers, and previous owner's name is stamped on front flyleaf. Text pages are clean, bright and unmarked, with no foxing, no creases or tears. Overall a nice solid original copy of this Black lit classic! [C1].…
