Complete three volume set. A series of technical books (in English) issued by the Saumur Artillery School in Western France during the First World War. Originally published in paperback and consequently surviving examples are usually found in poor condition. This set has been attractively bound in quarter leather with decorative cloth boards. Spines with five raised bands and gilt lettering. Browning to pages as usual, first few pages in Volume I have a light vertical crease. Two previous owner names to title page in each volume. Profusely illustrated, two large fold-out charts in Vol I, fold-out diagram in Vol II. A scarce complete set and in excellent robust bindings. Overall condition is Very Good. Size: 4.5 x 7.75 inches (11.5 x 20 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 343 + 237 + 203.
