In Piety and Philosophy: A Primer for Christian Schools, Dr. Riesen examined the intersection of faith and academics. Richard Riesen was for fifteen years head of school at Pacific Christian on the Hill in Los Angeles. He has a BA (History, University of California, Santa Barbara), an MA (History, Claremont Graduate School), a BD (Theology, University of Edinburgh), and a PhD (Ecclesiastical History, University of Edinburgh). His other book on Christian education is Piety and Philosophy: A Primer for Christian Schools.
