Quarto, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 99 pp. Very Good, with modest mailing crease at cover center, small abrasion there as well, mirco-points of cover wear elsewhere; contents are, of course, unblemished. See scans. Probably the only weekly science journal in the same league as 'Nature'. How such technically rich compendia of text and graphics on such a wide variety of topics and such a robust roster of scholarly contributors can be put together every week remains a mystery, here. They do charge a healthy fee for it, but it's worth it. Articles are as diversified as always - and, these days, include the inevitable occasional politicizing in some - but see the scans of the contents pages for an idea. An interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic scientific masterwork since 1880 (just 11 years after Nature), In 2007 Science (together with Nature) received the Prince of Asturias Award for Communications and Humanity. In 2001 the two rivals also simultaneously published the human genome - Science as the Celera Genomics paper, and Nature as the publicly funded Human Genome Project.
