[303-318] pp. Illus. with b/w engravings and drawings. 15 3/4" x 11". Folio. Lead article: Hannah's Patent Metropolitan Railway with a large half-page wood engraving of a street view of the elevated railway by R. Ten Eyck (a New York engraver working between 1860 and 1900), and a smaller engraving. Contents: Answers to Correspondents; Filling the Issues of Turbines; G.K. Proctor's Improved Treadle Motion; Mitchell and Kessinger's Improved Flour Bolt; The Cochineal Insect and its Allies; The Crystals Found in Plants; The Sea Horse; all with engravings; plus other articles. A very good copy with light crease from middle fold, light dampstain to corner. Paper wrappers, removed from a larger volume.

For international orders, shipping and handling is calculated individually.

RETURNS
All books may be returned in original condition for any reason within one month with prior notification.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SURFACE MAIL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS from the U.S. Standard rate is now airmail (good up until 4 lbs). Many, though not all books, can fit boxed in a U.S. flat rate Priority envelope and can be shipped for $26.95 International ($22.95 Canada). We will automatically use this method if possible for orders less than $100 and will reduce your charges accordingly. All items are shipped boxed. All items are insured.
