Original tan cloth blindstamped forest scene with green lettering on boards. Fifth title in the series begun by Cheyney in 1917. (1) on last page (268) signifies First Edition. Grubby cover, cocked, missing front free endpaper. Apparently this story was the most popular of the six, since three printings in consecutive years are known. Sound. No names or marks. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
