[166 pp (unpaginated).], photo-illustrated title, including 128 colour serigraph sample plates of Forsyth tartans, numerous colour plates, text illustrations. Embossed cloth over beveled boards, Arts & Crafts cover art, lettering on front cover, embossed on back cover. First edition, thus, of this lavishly illustrated catalogue of tartans and highland accoutrement supplied by Forsyth's department store in Glasgow and Edinburgh at the beginning of the 20th century. One of the lozenge illustrations on the title shows the landmark Forsyth Building erected in 1906 and was Scotland's first steel-framed structure, and the spire was completed by Gilbert Bayes.
