"First published 1952" is only statement - assume 1st, light soiling/foxing to edges of text block with a very small brown spot to top edge - very light rubbing to top/bottom edges of spine - very small brown spot to top edge of rear board - a former owners inked last name and 4 stains (2 - small, 2 - medium sized) to front free end paper - same former owners ink stamp to lower left of rear free end paper - very light scattered foxing through pages, mylar enclosed dj is taped down to front/rear paste-downs - light soiling to panels with light scuffing to folds - 1/2" wide x 1/4" deep piece missing to top edge of spine - several stains to lower half of front flap - original price intact in English L's, heavily illustrated with maps, black & white photographs, black & white reproductions of paintings and 4 color plates.
