Bright copy of the first omnibus edition, combining The Screwtape Letters (first published 1942) with the first publication of Screwtape Proposes a Toast. The author's new Preface is dated 18 May 1960. The dustwrapper rear panel features a drawing of Screwtape by the author, first printed in the US edition of 1943. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
