Very rare first edition of "The Sea-Sphinx" by Marshall N Goold, published in London in 1911. Times Book Club copy. It is a collection of essays that reflect the author's lifelong fascination and "close communion" with the sea. 256pp, approx. 14x19.5cm. Blank page is missing from the start. Good condition for age, showing typical signs of aging such as yellowing or off-white color, foxing, but no major tears, stains, or damage. Green cover with gold lettering in good condition with some staining and aging. Refer to photos.
