8vo. 6 volumes, set. Firsts thus. Original black cloth, gilt. Volume 1 and 6 have been slightly pushed at the spine heads and top corners. Fine in fine d/ws. Each volume has a separate translator (Lydia Davis, James Grieve, Mark Treharne, John Sturrock, Carol Clark and Peter Collier, & Ian Patterson). The first new translation into English since Scott Moncreiff's original version sounds as if it might have been produced by a committee but is actually a triumph.
