Mackay Mackenzie, this combines his historical account of the Battle of Flodden Field, fought on the 19th September 1513, with an English translation of the Italian poem 'The Rout of the Scots', a work in part based on a letter from Sir Brian Tuke, who relayed valuable information about the battle to English diplomat Richard Pace.With two pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, bright, with shelf wear to spine head and tail. Dust wrapper age toned, with some chipping to rear wrap, a small closed tear to head of front wrap, and small tears to joints of back strip head and tail. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed.
