Secret Tibet, Fosco Maraini, Hutchinson , 1952, First Edition, First Impression With an introductory letter by Bernard Berenson and illustrated with sixty double colour plates from photographs by the author, Maraini looks back at the world he first unfolded nearly fifty years ago in this classic account of the visits he made to Tibet. In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal shelf wear to both edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks. There is a library sticker to the rear of the front board. There is a loss to the edge of the first free page. There is foxing to the first few pages and to the bottom edge. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with tears to the top edge of the front cover, nibbling to the top edge of the spine which has been held in place by sellotape, nibbling to the bottom edge of the spine, tears to the top edge of the toned back cover and loss to all the corners. Will be dispatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box. Seller Inventory # 03167
