Large 4to with rebound raised spine full leather binding. This contains part one 1797 and part two 1799 but only has 47 of 62 original plates. These seem to be some type of proof aquatints. They are all done on a thin pink orange paper that is tipped onto the thicker paper with the title. One tissue plate is actually over a hand colored plate of itself. We have never seen prints on this type of paper. A few have small tears from being only mounted in the corners. The descriptions are in english and french and there is no foxing to paper. Has both title pages and lists of plates. Plates are really quite striking.
