Text-block edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers. VERY GOOD. Shows the vellum boards with subtle suggestions of foxing being somewhat heavier at the back board, handsome former owner bookplate of the period at the front paste-down, extremities marginally shelf rubbed, the early and late blanks only with foxing, otherwise the binding remains strong and tight, the text remains clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
