Each book is bound in the publisher's original cloth, or paper-covered boards, with the original dust wrapper, five of which remain unclipped. This collection is comprised of the following: 'Recollections of Virginia Woolf' (1972), the second impression, published the same year as the first. This work was edited by Joan Russell Noble, containing recollections, anecdotes and first impressions of Woolf from her relatives, friends and acquaintances.'Virginia Woolf and her World' (1975) and 'Thrown to the Woolfs' (1979), both first editions, written by John Lehmann, who was a close personal friend to Leonard and Virginia Woolf.'Virginia Woolf' (1996) the first edition of this biographical work by Hermione Lee.'Virginia Woolf' (2000), the first edition. Written by Nigel Nicolson, the son of Woolf's close friends, Vita Sackville-West. Nicolson provides a unique insight into the life of Virginia Woolf, drawing on his own experiences around her when he was a child. 'Virginia Woolf & the Raverats' (2003), edited by William Pryor. This work explores the relationship between Woolf and Jacques Raverat, a French painter with whom Woolf was well acquainted. Bound in the publisher's original full cloth to most works, with quarter cloth and paper covered boards to 'Thrown to the Woolfs'. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear and the odd mark. Ink inscription to the front endpaper of 'Virginia Woolf & the Raverats'. Dust wrapper's are unclipped, apart from 'Virginia Woolf & the Raverats'. Wraps to Nicolson's 'Virginia Woolf', 'Thrown to the Woolfs' and 'Recollections' have slight edge wear and are lightly soiled, with chipping and tape repair to the head of the spine of 'Recollections. Slight sunning to the spine of the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Binding is split before rear endpaper to Hermione Lee's 'Virginia Woolf'. Near Fine.
