A contemporary novel dealing with the new economic necessity of women forced into the work force and one woman's struggle in making a living. Martin is a Pseudonym of Georgia May Madden, a member of the "Author's Club," that had been based in Louisville, Kentucky in the 1890's. Other members included authors Alice Hegan Rice and Annie Fellows Johnston. Best known for her second book Emmy Lou: Her Book And Heart, published in 1902. Near Fine in Very Good dustjacket, few small edge chips, top spine end with centimeter sized chips, few short closed tears.
