NY: Knopf, 1941. First edition, advance reading copy. Plain wrappers pasted into the dust jacket. A crease and come light chipping to the spine and edges, jacket flap folds weak and slightly split, but intact. A clean, very good copy generally. The jacket blurb claims that this is the first jazz novel written by a jazz musician. The author was the brother of the artist William Steig. Seller Inventory # 54422
