A total of 60 pp with 6 blanks and end papers bound with stiff card wrappers (Period) with a brown cloth spine. Blanks & end papers are mostly clean with 1 signed gift inscription in the front matter and a statement in pen on the front cover from Heman Chase (noted author of RR books) from ALstead. Also contains the Appendix of the History of Alstead from 1826 to 1836, 12 pages. Salma Hale is also mentioned. Quite scarce in this first printing.
