8vo 8" - 9" tall; 1933 - 1935. Sequential and complete set of the first 40 issues of the historical booklets published to commemorate the tercentanary of Connecticut. Ex-library bound in two hardcover volumes with original title wraps bound in. Issued were originally held as single issues with each booklet exhibiting trace remnant of a call slip to the inside of the rear cover wrap and each front wrap with the institution's bookplate on the inner verso surface. Sturdily bound in heavy blue buckram with basic title lettering in gilt to spines. Catalog labels to base of spines. Occasional pencil notation on title page by Library staff. Illustrations include fold-out maps and diagrams and some photos and figures in text. Superb collection of historical papers. Well preserved the contents are VG though the overall condition is graded to reflect prior library ownership. . Oversize book may require additional charges for expedited or international shipping.
