Twelvetrees, R. C. Seven Little Women. New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1908. First edition. Oblong folio - 14-1/8" x 9-13/16". Publisher's green cloth-backed color pictorial paper covered boards. Unpaginated (16) leaves printed on recto only. Illustrated in color throughout. A rare and quite charming children's book featuring doll-like characters in a dwindling party theme. One by one the seven little girls get picked off as the story proceeds, from seven to none. Cute scenes of them playing, breaking a dish, getting stung by a bee, being nipped by a crab and a monkey, falling off a tree, etc. The condition of this book is VERY GOOD +. The book exhibits light edge wear and rubbing, as well as occasional finger-soiling, but all in all is in amazing condition for such a desirable and scarce book. SCARCE.
