Collated complete.This set features a collection of travel works by F. D. Ommanney, with two autobiographies on the author's early childhood and life in the 1920's. The works cover his travels to Tropic of Capricorn, information on collecting seashells and a trip to the Antarctic and the whaling trade there.This set includes; "The Shoals of Capricorn", "Eastern Windows", "The House in the Park", "Collecting Sea Shells", "Lost Leviathan: Whales and Whaling", "The River Bank, An Autobiography of the 1920s" and "A Draught of Fishes". In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper to all except 'Eastern Windows', which is clipped. Externally excellent with slight bumping to the extremities and a slight lean to 'River Bank and 'Capricorn' and marks to the boards to 'River Bank'. Bookseller's label and an ink inscription to 'Eastern Windows', Offsetting and spotting to the endpapers to 'River Bank' and 'House in the Park'. The wraps are generally smart with chips and small closed tears to the extremities, slight marks, occasional spotting, and sunning to the spine to 'Draught of Fishes'.
