Item description from seller

Likely 1st edition [WorldCat] of this scarce small format dictionary. In general good order, though some looseness/opening between gatherings. Pages a little marked by use, but foxing only occasional. Fep removed. Signatures of two former owners to half title and front pastedown. Engraved title, lightly hand-coloured, and further engravings throughout. Some pages have had their corners cut, without affecting text, for no obvious reason, but this not a major issue. Gilt to all edges. Blind embossed boards well worn to all edges. 48mo. viii, 590pp.

Store description

Formerly known as Journobooks, our original speciality was books about journalism, journalists, newspapers, magazines and other media (hence the old name) and we still have a great stock of hard-to-find books in that field. Over time we have added a wide variety of other collectible gems some of which we sell on behalf of the charity Friends of Morston Church (reg.1099831). Our goal is to offer the best value for money on Abebooks, ie. the lowest price for the condition of the book. We love buying and selling books, so will try to make your buying experience as easy and pleasant as possible.
