Original embossed cloth cover with gilt lettering on spine. As noted by Paul Tindall in a BIOS Reporter article in 2002 this copy is different from the usual version in that 'the title page bears the variant colophon "J. Masters, Aldersgate-St. and Richard Nichols, Birmingham'" and on the reverse is Nichols's impeccable Puginian rebus. Richard Nichols was a bookseller of New Street, and in 1844 he advertised "Books in the Antique style from designs of A.W. Pugin".' Five fine engravings of organ cases are appended.
