5.75" x 8.75" pp. [12], 173, [1], includes frontispiece and 23 black and white figures. Salmon faux-calfskin boards in an illustrated, pumpkin-orange cover jacket. Jacket is clean with some minor wrinkling at the top corners and light foxing along the top edge. Boards have light bending at top corners and wrinkling at the edges of the spine. Text and photos are bright and crisp. Very good. Written by De-Facto Prime Minister of Sikkim, Nari Rustomji, this book follows the trials and tribulations of the country's last ruler, Chogyal Palden Thondup Namgyal, as he struggles to maintain the cultural and political identity of Sikkim amidst pressures to become incorporated with India.
